23 things the end

This has been a rewarding and educational journey through a lot of places I wouldn't have even thought of exploring. To start with I didn't have a Blog before this course.

I really liked Flickr, especially as you can use these images without worrying about copyright implications.

The course has opened my eye to the wide possibilities that Web 2.0 has and it has made me feel more comfortable about exploring this environment myself in the future.

Next time there is a program like this you can count me in!

TQLlearning2 Edna group

I am doing Task 22 of the 23 things now, Online Communities. It is a bit hard to do this one with so many sites blocked by the powers that be, but we can always have a look at these at home. My daughter has a MySpace account so I will get her to show me around this one.

I have had a look around Edna before and subscribed to some of the lists. There is a message from me to start people off at Robyn's Group.

They all look good. I don't have anything to Podcast about so I didn't attempt to do that one as yet. Music is a good one to investigate, you can find lots of stuff to listen to.

Daily_Motion

This site is like YouTube. I found a lot of music videos that I liked. I picked one of ACDC song to watch. Librarians could use this to communicate with other Libraries or Education facilities around the world. When a Library holds an event it could be taped and put up on sites likes this one so that others could share the experience.

I am up to Task 19 of the 23 things. I decided to have a look at Lulu. Here you can publish your own work. You can have it professionally bound as well and sell to the public if you wish. You can purchase other peoples work if you are interested. They provide discounts when you purchase in bulk (could be good for xmas presents). You can find this great site at: http://www.lulu.com/

Zoho Writer

I am currently using Zoho writer to create this post for my Blog. It looks like it can do most of the basic things that MS Word can do.

PBWiki

Another interesting one. So much easier than when I had to create a webpage at Uni in HTML. It looks good. So quick and easy to use, anyone could make one.
